今日正处岁末，微雨正凉爽，脑海中的美食档案自然会调出涮涮锅汤头强强滚的画面迷惑大人心智，没错！此刻不品尝火锅更待何时？「来人啊～ 大人想到了人生中的小确幸啦～ 下雨天吃火锅！好想喝汤！焖鸡脚！卤肉饭！快备轿～」
They say the best things in life are free, filled with simple pleasures that come with the little satisfaction we never really anticipate, but always take great pleasure in. For the rare times of sheer bliss at the first sip of an ice-cold glass of water when we are really really thirsty or reaching into our pocket and find an RM50 note from the last time we wore these jeans, sometimes it’s easy to forget the things that make us smile.
For the rest of us, there are few things as comforting and delightful as getting our families or a bunch of friends and having a hot pot together, especially in this cold weather as the rain beats lightly against the window. There is no place we would rather be.
没想到老马果然识途，竟将大人送到了数月前曾到访的五福城 Piggy Pot！这家室内陈设清新简约的火锅餐馆毫无多余的缀饰，平日素以家常自助火锅滋味掳获饕客欢心，据悉近来增添了深受欢迎的番茄鲜香锅、重庆麻辣锅与鲜菇菌味锅～ 外头雷声轰隆隆，大人的肚子也有样学样地跟着打起鼓来，「老板～ 就来份番茄鲜香锅与重庆麻辣锅吧！」
A steamboat dinner at Piggy Pot is an excellent way to end a long day, in an intimate cafe-like setting to congregate with our friends and families for a casual dinner that is all the more hearty and food coma inducing. With the addition of the all-new appetising tomato soup base, extra spicy Chongqing hot pot and fresh mushroom broth ever since our first visit, with the first two options being our overwhelming unanimous choice. With the only outlet located at Taman Sutera Utama, Westies will celebrate over this one too!
And that’s not all, with a new coffee machine, new ice cream and refreshing ice tea flavours, these simple additions certainly help to brighten our day too!
各式火锅汆烫食材 Spoilt for choice
大人平日也常在府里办火锅聚会，非常了解幕后熬汤、备料、清理等工作其实既烦琐又费时。无论是汤头或火锅材料皆深怕出现以下情景：准备太多吃不完、太少又不尽兴… 如果不想搞得蓬头垢面，到定价自助火锅餐馆无疑是双赢的上策！前提是：「汤头必须熬得入味、备料得有家常口味」，Piggy Pot 在汆烫食材选择方面确比数月前更丰富多彩，尤其是新增的各式混搭肉串，是不是与在街头所吃的渌渌很相似呢？
Why slave away in the kitchen when we have nearly 100 super-fresh, high-quality ingredients to choose from? Piggy Pot serves an all-you-can-eat buffet, so it’s certainly a good choice and an incredibly worth it option, especially the latest mixed meat skewers, we can now enjoy the dip in luk luk style under the same roof.
A feast for the eyes and treat that warm hearts and tummies, this is certainly a healthy alternative for us seeking less greasy options for the perfect indulgence in our all-time comfort food. Looking at the full list of ingredients on paper (order form) and on display, from fresh seafood, a wide assortment of meat and mushroom selections, sides and desserts, we could imagine and literally taste how delightful and fulfilling everything would be – satisfaction overload!
熟食区 Cooked Food Station
Arguably one of the most popular stations at Piggy Pot, guess what’s cooking inside these cookers that are keeping everything nice and warm, just like mum’s cooking?
All the Taiwanese braised pork over rice, herbal chicken feet, Chinese tea leaf eggs and garlic fried rice for that added home-cooked flair we can get to our heart’s content. With less grease use in all their food, there is no reason why we should not ask for more refills.
No steamboat session would be completed without the dipping condiments, and the stupefying assortment of a dozen homemade sauces had us having fun mixing and competing for the ideal mixture. “Coriander, green, spring onion, sesame oil, garlic and fried shallot mixed with green chilli sauce”, our perfect dip…anytime!
新汤上市 – 重庆麻辣锅 & 番茄鲜香锅 What’s new?
Piggy Pot 共备有七种自调汤底：大骨萝卜锅、奶油沙爹锅、泰式酸辣锅、番茄鲜香锅、重庆麻辣锅、日式味噌锅、鲜菇菌味锅，「其中番茄鲜香锅、重庆麻辣锅与鲜菇菌味锅乃近日新推汤底，非常适合喜欢重口味的饕客们！」
There are up to 7 broths, including the original pork bone soup using a home-made recipe, signature creamy satay soup, Thai tom yam soup and Japanese miso soup on top of the 3 new additions from which to choose for our double-stew pot.
常到邻国享受火锅滋味的看官们想必对番茄鲜香锅与重庆麻辣锅不陌生吧？据悉店家经过多方试吃调味后才将口味调整至较迎合本地饕客能接受的辣度，大人这一次为了番茄鲜香锅与重庆麻辣锅而放弃旧爱泰式酸辣，千万可别让我失望啊！「番茄汤底口味偏甜、带微酸，就算多喝也不嫌腻！重庆麻辣锅则有意外的惊喜，没有一般的超级麻舌感及重辣度，大人终于有机会好好喝上一口含有香气的麻辣汤头了，顶层的辣油花用来涮肉提味真合拍！整体来说，大人喝得较多的为番茄汤，麻辣汤底就留给肉类们吧！」除了以上两种大人所点选的汤底，鲜菇菌味锅也很值得推荐，滋味就像家里妈妈所熬煮的中式鸡肉蘑菇汤，配上焖鸡脚、卤肉饭等…「不晓得为何大人觉得在 Piggy Pot 吃火锅还真有过年吃团圆饭的感觉 😊 ！」
The spicy Chongqing broth that was our first pick is the usual numbing favourite that is really boiling fiery, spicy yet inviting, while the flavourful tomato soup is slightly sweet and tastes really light. You can scoop out the oil if you prefer it to be less spicy or oily but we seldom do that as it would kind of defeat the purpose and make us a less satisfied glutton LOL. It got even more enticing as our choice ingredients were added in and we ended up polishing almost the whole pot of soup. Talk about a bowl of sinful goodness reminiscent of our good old Chinese New Year’s Eve reunion. The mushroom broth seems equally well-received from the look of other tables, so this gives us another reason to come back for more.
店家推荐 – 手工饺子，瘦肉片 & 松坂猪肉片
Handmade dumplings, lean meat and Matsuzaka pork slices
「这皮若凝脂、内馅为韭菜猪肉的纯手工水饺，口感非常顺滑够味，别忘了在点餐纸上的配料区点选尝鲜啊！」瘦肉片 & 松坂猪肉片则是店家循众要求在近期添入的肉类，腴甜生香的肉片用来涮麻辣汤底绝对令人垂涎啊！
Besides the familiar all-time favourites like homemade soup dumplings, hot pot lovers can also look forward to some premium platters of lean meat such as Matsuzaka pork slices to add to our growing orders.
店家推荐 – 海鲜 Seafood indulgence
海鲜方面大人则点选了花蟹、扇贝、鲜虾与带子，再搭上贵妃片！「看官们，摄取大量海鲜的同时千万别忘了添些 Piggy Pot 所贴心准备的食蔬、菌菇及豆腐等，因为均衡的食材不仅能让锅内生色不少也能减少各位摄取过量的胆固醇哦！」
Flower crab, scallop, prawn, oysters and abalone slices, the list goes on. To ensure we do not suffer from a massive seafood hangover, we highly recommend everyone to go easy and to lower your cholesterol intake with a mix of fresh greens, mushrooms and tofus.
炸料 Fried specialties
孩子们的最爱应该就是各式炸物了吧！点餐纸上列举了六种颇受饕客欢迎的炸料：炸海鲜豆腐、春卷、炸芋角、心形鸡肉块、炸鱼筑及炸云吞。「由于之前所选的汤底较为厚重，点选炸料之前确实担心会否过于油腻，幸好 Piggy Pot 所呈上的炸料口感蛮爽脆，表皮也不显油。」
Fried seafood tofu, spring rolls, fried yam, chicken nugget, fried fish cut and fried wanton, you name it, they have it. What we love about Piggy Pot is that they make sure to use less grease in all their food so we will not find the food too “jelak” midway through our meals.
除了橱柜上的蛋挞与杯子蛋糕之外，Piggy Pot 也推出了自制的芒果布丁、巧克力布丁与龟苓膏！与滋味厚重的火锅相比，微甜的饭后小食或许能中和舌尖上的味平衡！

After such a hearty meal like the one we just had, you may still want to take your pick from a decent dessert selection of egg tart, cupcakes, homemade mango and chocolate pudding or herbal jelly to complete a fitting finale to cleanse your palette.
